Cub Scout Packs 61 (Nixon) and 80 (Haynes) held their Pinewood Derby races on Saturday, February 8th at Memorial Congregational Church. Out of 38 Pack 80 racers, the top Tiger (1st grade) finishers were Casey Tupta, Aiden Murphy, and Sam Powers, while the top overall finishers were 3rd graders Evan Lanzendorf, Christopher Kornblum, and Jake Giorlando. The top 6 finishers from each Pack participated in an inter-Pack race, with Scouts Evan Lanzendorf, David Morgan, and Jake Giorlando taking the top overall spots, and Pack 80 winning the first annual Sudbury Cup team competition by a combined time difference of 1.247 seconds! Great job boys! Some pictures have been posted below.
Welcome to Cub Scouts Pack 80 (Haynes)
Welcome to Cub Scouts Pack 80. Our Cub Scout pack is affiliated with Josiah Haynes School. Our monthly pack meetings are held at Memorial Congregational Church . We welcome all boys between the ages of 6 and 11. If you have a son who is in the first through fifth grade, and is interested in finding out more about Cub Scouts, we would love to talk with you. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions! We look forward to hearing from you!
Pack 80 will be selling first aid kits this year! Please click HERE for details and information from the fundraising chairs, James Mabli and Heather Johnson. You may pick up your kits from your den leader starting March 26th. The Pack will also be selling the kits on Saturday, April 5th at Shaw's in Sudbury from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Several scouts and parents are needed to help throughout the day for one-hour shifts - you can sign up online. Thanks for your support!
Suzie Kornblum has offered to teach a whittling class! This is important for those Scouts who would like to carry a pocket knife at Scout events. If your Scout is a Wolf or older, please contact Suzie ASAP at email@example.com. Classes will be held on Mondays in March at 5:30 p.m. at her house, starting March 3rd. Click HERE for further information and instructions.
The Blue and Gold Banquet and our annual Cake Auction will be held on Monday night, March 17th at 6:00 p.m. at MCC.
Start thinking about your cake design now! Will it be "Yummiest"? or "Most Disgusting"? Perhaps "Best Cub Scout Theme"? Remember that the top 5 People's Choice vote "getters" will be auctioned off, and you could take home a yummy cake. Proceeds from the auction go to Friends of Scouting 2014.
See the Cake Auction Guidelines for more details, and watch your email for more details on the Blue and Gold Banquet.
See you there!
